No, this is an unmanaged switch, plug-and-play, no configuration possible or needed.
Can I connect an access point to it?
Yes, provided the access point has its own power supply. For PoE power, choose the Cudy GS1005P.
Which cables do I need for 1 Gbps?
Cat5e is sufficient; Cat6 gives extra headroom for future 2.5G/10G upgrades.
